Temporary and immediate solution:
# echo "1" > /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/swap_fn_leftctrl
Permanent change, taking place at next reboot:
/etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf
options hid_apple swap_fn_leftctrl=1
