Macs don’t really support Wake on Lan in the traditional sense. Apparently you can get it to work if you disable dark wake but it’s probably not a good idea. When your mac is sleeping you can tick the box in the power preferences for wake for network access. This, essentially, leaves the mac’s network stack turned on when it’s sleeping so if you wanted to access a file on it or ssh into it it will just automatically, invisibly, wake up the system on demand. If you want to remotely fully power on the system remotely you can use this iOS app. https://www.bridgetech.io/Off.html. When you trigger it, it will cause the computer to turn its screen on and fully come out of sleep.
